New Years Resolutions

Hey Guys:) So tomorrow is New Years Eve, and we all know that means the next day a tonne of crazy people (including me) will begin their New Years Resolutions, such as fad diets to work off those Christmas pounds; or going to the gym twice a week, the next day. So I have compiled a list of resolutions which I think are a good idea...

1. Swear less:
I don't know about you but my language is foul and I know it, I just can't help it. I swear when I'm angry, happy, sad, etc. literally if something happens I'll probably swear about it. I certainly don't intend to be rude but I guess some people probably do find it offensive even though it isn't meant to be, so I guess this would be a good idea for me!

2. Decide what you want to do with your life:
I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my life, and being 17 I guess I need to decide real soon, the trouble is the only things I really like are the internet, shopping and fan-girling. I'm personally hoping for some kind of epiphany and I'll just realize what I want to do, but I suppose for the time being I could do some figuring out of what my options are.

3. Keep jars of positive and negative thoughts to stay happy:
Okay, so I've been doing this for a while and I find it really handy. All you need is two jars, then when you're feeling really good about yourself write down why and put it in your positive jar, and when you're feeling down let your emotions out and write it down and put it in the negative jar, and then re-read all the positive things you wrote about yourself. I don't know why but I find this really helps, as I am the sort of person that spends too much time on their own and then think really negatively and upsets themselves.

4. Spend less time on the internet:
If you're the sort of person (like me) that can spend like 8 hours a day on the internet then I would probably recommend this one for you, but then again I know how hard it is to not go on the internet, so its probably only for people who are really strong;)

5. Ignore the people who are no good for you:
Do you ever find you feel like there is so much pressure on you from certain people to act a certain way, to wear certain things and to do a lot of things that you don't want to do? Well I think a New Year should mean a new start, and you should just be your own person and ignore the people who make you be someone your not, and I promise you that you will be much happier. (When I say ignore people who make you do things you do not want to do, I DON'T mean your parents, probably best not to ignore them:P)

6. Be more confident:
So this is obviously more easily said than done (trust me I'm one of the shyest people ever), but my friend said something to me recently whilst she was at my house: 'Just fake confidence' and I promise you right there and then in my bedroom I had a mini epiphany. Because why can't you just fake it even if you're not confident? No one will know the difference, and you'll probably get a lot further in life. All my friends have a lot more friends than me and they all have boyfriends and girlfriends, and it's because they have the confidence to actually talk and meet new people, so I think this is definitely going to be my new years resolution.

7. READ MORE BOOKS!
Okay, this I feel really strongly about. I absolutely love reading, and it really annoys me when people say they don't read books because it's 'boring' or 'uncool'. 1. who cares if its uncool? 2. how is reading boring? You literally go into someone else's life but it's all in your head. What could be better?!

8. Take photos of things you do:
I've recently realized I never remember anything that I do, even important things that I only did a few weeks ago. I think it is a good idea to take photos of good or fun memories so in the future you will always remember the good times, and it is so easy to do that sort of thing now, and even share the photos through Instagram and other apps, I don't see why we shouldn't.

So there's what I think people should have as their New Year's resolutions, why not share with me what your resolution is? I thought before I signed off I would share with you what I got for Christmas last week:
I got some new brown brogues, 3 cute note pads, a bag from Top Shop, a scarf for Urban Outfitters and some Little Mermaid socks! I also got a mouse onesie which is really soft and snugly, and lots and lots of chocolate! I absolutely love all my presents this year, I'm so lucky<3

Just as a little update, I've currently completed 5 out of the 15 things on my Christmas Bucket List from last time, I better get back to it! That's it for now, until next time, byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:)

CHRISTMAS BUCKET LIST! 2013

Hey Guys:) So I've officially finished Sixth Form for Christmas, yaaaaaay! So here come endless days of trolling the internet and doing absolutely nothing (when I should be revising for my mocks the first week back). So I've decided to do my own Christmas bucket list of fun things I can do over the break so I don't end up sitting around getting fat off my Christmas goodies. I did try to do this over the summer holidays, but everything on my list was a bit too adventurous and I only ended up managing to do about 5 things off my list of 15. But I promise to try harder this time, and then in the new year I can  do a post showing snapshots of everything I've managed to do:)

The List:
1. Have a Disney film day
2. Make an Oreo milkshake
3. Go and see the Hobbit at the cinema
4. Get 5 new followers on Tumblr (sorry I'm a sad person)
5. Watch every James Bond film
6. Complete 4 more pages of my Wreck This Journal
7. Have some friends round for a fun night in
8. Climb a tree
9. Breakfast at Taybarns (that's an all you can eat buffet near to where I live that serves food from all over the world. I've only ever been for dinner, and I really want to see what breakfast there is like)
10. Make banana pancakes!! (mmmmmm, BEST.FOOD.EVER!)
11. Buy a onesie (I reaaallly want a really cool onesie that looks like some sort of animal!)
12. Get the train somewhere new (and hopefully go shopping there as well!?)
13. Put my shelf up (okay, that one sounds really boring, but there has been a shelf from Ikea sat in the lounge for 4 months now, I really should get round to putting it up.)
14. Take a new profile picture (my Facebook and Twitter profile pictures have been the same for months now and they both really blurry also, so on a day when I'm feeling pretty, I really must get round to taking a new one)
15. Read the Da Vinci Code (so many people have told me that this book is really good, and I've been meaning to read it for ages, so I really must get started)

Okay, so I don't think anything on there is too adventurous and there is a lot, so I should definitely be able to work my way through. I promise I'll do my best to do them all and I'll put a post up so you can all see how well I've done (or laugh at how much of a failure I am). Leave a comment telling me what you're planning to do over the holidays, I'd be interested to hear. So, until next week, byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:)

December Favourites

Hey Guys:) So after last week's very hurried post I decided that this week I would take a lot of time and share with you all the things I've been enjoying this month from clothes to food to music. I love it when new things come out that I can try, or new styles come around that I can add to my ever expanding wardrobe. Enjoyyyyy.....

Clothes
1.Bowler Hats
I absolutely love bowler hats. I currently have a black one, but on a recent trip to Urban Outfitters I saw burgundy and navy ones which I also really want. Granted hats don't always suit everyone, but I definitely think it's a style everyone should try out at some point.

2.Velvet
Okay so a few months back I bought a red velvet skirt (from Primark), and at first I wasn't too sure, but now I literally live in it. You can pair it with anything, shirts; jumpers; baggy tees, and still look great as they can match anyone's style. Lots of people are now wearing velvet because it looks so good, and I'm currently trying to invest in a nice black velvet dress.

Food
1.Digestive Cheesecake Biscuits
Erhmagerd. These things are literally the tastiest things ever. they are two McVities digestive biscuits stuck together with cheesecake. I have only tried the vanilla and lemon flavours but I'm pretty sure there are other flavours too (and they're probably just as tasty!)
2. Wonka Bars
These are THE tastiest things EVER. They come in three flavours: Millionaires Shortbread, Creme Brulee and Nice Creme, need I say more?

Make-Up
Seventeen Make Your Mark Liner
This is one of the most reasonably priced liquid eyeliners I have ever tried. I paid £3.99 for it and it is so easy to put on and it doesn't crack and peel of once it has dried (like many other liquid liners I've tried) unless you keep it on for a reeaaaally long time.

Movies
Catching Fire
I went to watch Hunger Games: Catching Fire in the cinema last weekend and I'm not joking, it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. being a bit fan of the book I was slightly skeptical as to whether they would do it justice, but they did. Granted some parts of the book that I loved they did just gloss over a bit, but for the most part they stayed pretty true to the story line and brought it to life much better than I thought they ever would.

Them guys though ^^ <3

Music
1. McFly- Love Is on the Radio
Okay, so I've always been a massive fan of McFly so I was bound to buy this single, but I can also honestly say it is really good and I can't stop listening to it. Tom and his sister Carrie did a cover of it on her channel (ItsWayPastMyBedTime) and it is literally one of the best things I've ever listened to.

Tom and Harry are my favourites^^

So that's it for my December favourites. I'm going to try and make this monthly thing if it becomes a popular post, and maybe add a few more thing in next time. Why not leave a comment with things that you have been loving this month, or tell me which of these things you like:) Until next time, byeeeeeeeeee:))

YouTubers You MUST Check Out!

Hey Guys:) So YouTube is my absolute favourite website (aside from Tumblr of course!) and it literally escapes me how people dislike watching videos made by YouTubers. I'm currently subscribed to 75 channels on YouTube and I love the videos made by each and everyone of them. So for the YouTube lovers among you I've decided to make a list of channels that I think everyone should check out...

If you like advice, impressions, and your typical tags then Chai is the guy for you.

WOTO upload new videos every Tuesday and Friday. They are funny and completely unpredictable and in my opinion they are one of the most unrecognized channels on YouTube. My friends run a good World of the Orange blog on Tumblr called qwoto

What a guy. Sam is so funny to watch, he plays awesome pranks on people and goes up to people on the street and does the randomest of things to them. The reactions are the funniest things ever!

Nom. Connor is so upbeat and funny. He genuinely seems like a really nice person and he always does videos recommended by his viewers. He is also part of the channel our2ndlife

Carrie (brother of Tom from McFly) is such a good vlogger. She always posts about things which help her subscribers and she is like the least shallow person ever. She is also an amazing singer and uploads lots of really good songs:)

Louise is soooo funny and has such a lovely personality. She does make-up and fashion vlogs and blogs which she is excellent at, and she gives great advice whilst constantly cracking me up! (And she has a beautiful daughter called Darcy)

Chris Kendall is absolutely hilarious. He does some brilliant animal impressions and collabs with PJ, Dan and Phil. He also dresses up as Becca and predends to be your typical teenage girl vlogger, it is VERY funny:P

8. FunForLouis

Louis does daily vlogging, but not just your ordinary daily blogging. he always gets upto something really cool (usually with his friend Steve) and always stays up until about 4am. He's got up to some really fun adventures like doing the Rick Shaw Run across India with Jack and Finn.

9. ThatcherJoe

Joe is so funny and the inventor of the infamous Lyrical Phone Prank. He is so cute and genuine, everyone should watch him! He also does daily vlogs sometimes, which are extra fun!

10. Murray Orr

Murray is relatively new to YouTube, but he does really funny videos which are mainly different challenges, and he has a beautiful Scottish accent.

11. Marcus Butler

Helllllloooooooooo! Marky ButBut is such a great vlogger. He does some awesome challenges/dare/collab video and some awesome daily vlogging (which he doesn't do as often anymore *sobs*)

12. Bertie Gilbert

Bertie does lots of interviews with other YouTubers and is really good! (He was in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 2!)

13. Zoella

Zoe is my ALL TIME FAVOURITE YouTuber. She does absolutely everything: Look-books, make-up tutorials, collabs, challenges, dares. She is so pretty yet really quirky and funny, she just ticks all the boxes<3

aaaaaannnnnnddddd there we go again, the end of another blog! Why not leave a comment telling me whether you like any of these YouTubers or telling me which YouTubers are your favourites. Until next week, byeeeeeeee:)

10 Books You Should Read

Hey Guys:) So I'm always on the look out for a good book to read, I find myself always looking thorough the Kindle store trying to find an interesting book, and I love going to the library and having a look to see if you can find something you wouldn't usually go for. It really annoys me how people think it is uncool to read, so what? I find it fun, and that is why I've composed a list of my top 10 books that I think everyone should try and read...

1. Nineteen Minutes- Jodi Picoult
This book is really great. It's all about a shooting at a high school done by a teenage boy. The story shows the follow up as lawyers try to get to the bottom of the case, people try to come to terms with losing loved ones, and the boys friends and family try to determine why he would so such a thing.

2. We Need To Talk About Kevin- Lionel Shriver

Okay, so this is another book about a school shooting (I promise they're not all about this), but this is so much more shocking:0. This show the lead up to the shooting from the mum's point of view through a series of letters she sends to her husband a year later. It shows a bit of the present tense about what is happening in her life at the moment, and the past tense about Kevin's upbringing. It is the most gripping book I have read in a long time.

3. One Day- David Nicholls

I'm not usually one to read romantic novels, but this one is so good! It follows the lives of a good looking, smooth talking man and a clever young woman. It shows what they are doing on the same day (15th July) over a period of 20 years, from their graduation until the events later on in the book (which I don't want to spoil!). The book is well written and you end up caring do much for the characters,  plus there is a very shocking ending.

4. The Perks of being a Wallflower- Kevin Chbosky
This follows the life of a boy who doesn't quite fit in at school as he is a bit 'different'. I found the book so great as it was very relatable as lots of people, like me, were never hated at school, but also weren't popular, yet they still enjoy doing all the other 'cool' stuff other people liked to do and still have the same issues. Also there is another shock ending which is very sad.

5 The Hunger Games Trilogy- Suzanne Collins
If you've not read the books you're probably bored of the hype which has come along with the recent release of the Catching Fire movie, but I would seriously recommend reading the series if you haven't. Even if you don't think it is your kind of thing (children killing each other  doesn't really sound like anybodies thing though) I can assure you that you will like them.

6. Handle With Care- Jodi Picoult
So this is another Jodi Picoult book (I just couldn't choose which one was my favourite), but I really love everything she writes as she always chooses interesting topics that most other authors don't address- I would honestly recommend any book she has written. It is about a young girl with OI (Osteogenesis Inperfecta), which means she cannot do most things without breaking her bones. The book follows some events in her life, with some side stories within her family, and its very sad and emotional, but definitely worth a read.

7. Catch 22- Joseph Heller
I read this book over the summer and found it very interesting. It is a good read if you are interested in history, as it mixes a historical topic with a bit of humor. The story is about a man who keeps being given more flight missions (which he didn't want to do) in the war. He was caught in Catch-22 as if he flew them he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to.

8. The Hobbit- J.R.R Tolkein
Even though this is meant to be a children's book I think it is even greater for adults.I love fantasy, and I find the Hobbit a lot easier to read than the Lord of the Rings, yet it is just as good.

9. Before I Die- Jenny Downham
Before I die is a book about a girl diagnosed with Leukemia who has made up a list of 10 things she wants to do before she dies, like sex. She befriends a boy and starts up a relationship with him. I don't want to say much more with fear of ruining the book, but it is a very good but sad read.

10. The Harry Potter Series- J.K. Rowling

I just had to include Harry. These are my all time favourite books and all I can say is if you haven't read them then shame on you.

So there we are, 10 books I definitely think you should read. Comment below if you have read any of these books, or if you have any suggestions for everyone else. Until next week, byeeeeeeee:)
